1.2 Reference standards
The event will take place in compliance with this Regulation, the official program, the decisions made by the Race jury and by the Organising Committee Although not covered in this regulation, the regulation and general rules supplemented by the FCI apply..
1.3 Date and place of the event
The “Gran Fondo Kask Soave Bike” shall take place Sunday 28 May 2017 departing from and arriving in via Roma a Soave (Verona)from 9.15 a.m..
1.4 Access to the grids and departure
Access to the grids will be allowed 30 minutes before departure which will take place at 9.15 am for the first grid and the subsequent installments follow every 3 minutes. Departure from a different grid than the one assigned automatically disqualifies the race standing.
1.5 Grid composition
The assignment of the chest tags will be made at the uncontested discretion of the organising committee taking into account the combination of various factors such as: the position obtained in the previous year (the first 50 of the 2016 edition are entitled to the first grid (if they are registered before 21/05/2017), regulations of various circuits of memberships, the moment registration is received, significant results obtained (by written reason request at registration). A grid of honour is foreseen, which can be accessed by male and female competing athletes falling under the Elite, Under and Junior categories.
2.1 Participation route Classic (Competitive demonstration)
It is open to all the athletes of both sexes registered with F.C.I. , or ENTITIES of the council, holding cards allowing them to participate in competitive or amateur cycling activities issued by the membership federation for the year 2017. It is also possible for non-members to participate under the category “Hikers”, for all enthusiasts of both sexes aged between 18 and 65, provided with a medical certificate showing good health or a sports card issued by handing over the same certificate and with the signature of the liability disclaimer.
2.2 Participation route Short (Environmental bike-ride)
Under the category Hikers, all enthusiasts of both sexes aged between 16 and 65 take part, as long as they are provided with a medical certificate attesting good health or a sports card issued by handing over the same certificate and in the case of non-members with the signing of the liability disclaimer.

2.4 Youth Categories
There is no participation under the youth categories (Juniors,Beginners,Students).
3.1 Opening of registration
Registration opens on 07/11/2016 and ends on 26/05/2017 unless all the places are filled (1,500 participants). It will be possible to register on the 27th and 28th, at the administrative office but only as a hiker.
3.2 Participation fee for competitors/holiday cyclists/non-members
The participation fee is:

€. 30,00 from 01/03/2017 to 28/05/2017
For groups with every 10 participants the 11th person registers for free if the registration occurs at the same time filling out the form provided for the registration of groups.
The registration fee includes: signaling of the route, welcome kit (for the first 1,100 subscribers), medical health assistance, radio rescue, race refreshments, final refreshment, pasta party on arrival, showers, bike wash, awards.
In case of cancellation or suspension of the event for reasons of force majeure not attributable to the organiser, the participation fee will not be refunded.
3.3 Manual registration method
Download the registration formfrom the website www.soavebike.it which needs to be sent completely filled and attaching the receipt of payment made by post to the address firstname.lastname@example.org or the fax number 0455112637. Starting from March, furthermore, there will also be several points for collection of registration forms in the province of Verona and Vicenza, active until 13/05/17.
3.4 Online registration method
Open the website www.soavebike.it and go to the menu “RACE —> REGISTRATION” and follow the instructions.
3.5 Methods of payment
The methods of payment, with expenses to be paid by the sender:

3.6 K Factor
Only FCI affiliated companies are obliged to enroll their athletes ALSO through the federal computer system at web http://ksport.fattorek.it/fci/ (before 4 p.m. of 26/05/17), using the race information predefined by the Italian Cycling Federation. The race is easily traced by the link “races” and entering the number “Id Race” in the appropriate field.

Moreover one must send to the organising Company to the following email address email@example.com or the fax number 0455112637, a confirmation of the registration application, together with receipt of payment. Failure to register via the federal system will lead to non admission to the race.
Companies affiliated with the Entities of the Council can simply follow the registration procedures (Art.3.3). Please note that participation is by invitation: therefore, the non-payment of the registration fee, precludes participation.
3.7 Replacing a participant
It is possible to replace a participant only when he completed his registration and only within the same team. Such operation will require an administration fee of € 5.00. The latest date for replacements is 20 May 2017.
3.8 Cancellation of participation
If a registered participant is unable to attend the event, the registration fee will not be refunded. In case of a cancellation received before the 20.05.2017 the single participation fee will be considered valid for entry to the edition of 2018 and is non-transferable to another participant.
3.10 Verifications of membership cards
The verification of membership cards of the athletes under the category Amateur falls under the competence of the Organising Committee. Any identified individual cases will be assessed by the College of Commissioners. The verification of membership cards will take place at the race administration office at the Soave Memorial Park Soave (VR), during the following times: Saturday 27/05/17 at 2.30 p.m. – 6.30 p.m. and Sunday 28/05/16 at 7 a.m. – 8.30 a.m. The competitive categories are obliged to verify their licenses exclusively at the College of Commissioners, the verifications will be made only on Sunday, 28/05/17 at 7.00 a.m to 8.30 a.m..
Art. 4 RACE
17° Gran fondo Kask Soave Bike;
Short route: distance 28 Km for a slope of mt. 800 (approx.)
Classic route: distance 50 Km for a slope of mt. 1600(approx.).
Along the two race routes there will be a total of three refreshment places for water/food. Upon arrival there is also a final refreshment spot.
The timing will be measured by an Official Timer MySDAM with technology based on the use of a “chip”. Each participant will be provided with a valid personal chip or a daily rental chip. Details and conditions on the use of the chips are published on the site at MySDAM at the address www.mysdam.net/info-chip.do
Please Note: The failure or improper use of the chip will result in exclusion from the classification and non-attribution of the time taken.

• Indicate the code of the personal chip on the registration form.
• The chips and/or relative licenses can be acquired from the website mysdam.net or else from the “Chip Points” of the race.
• The daily chip can be rented only from the Chip Point of the race for the price of € 5.00 by paying a deposit of €10,00. The deposit, minus the cost of the rental, will be paid back on return of the chip which must be made at the same Chip Point within 15 minutes from the end of the race.
• Prices and current conditions relative to the chips are shown in the MySDAM website at the address mysdam.it/info-chip.do
• The blue chips and other chip types not specifically mentioned are not usable.
• The failure or improper use of the CHIP will result in exclusion from the rankings and non-attribution of the time taken.
4.4 Intermediate checks
At start, finish and along the way there will be intermediate route checks in place. Failure to pass even a single check will result in exclusion from the rankings.
4.5 Maximum time
The maximum time of the race shall be 4.15 hours starting from departure of the first grid (13.30 p.m.). Along the Classic route there shall also be time gates placed for routes in the locality “GPM La Ferrara” at 12.00 p.m. and in localities “Fittà” at 1.00 p.m. Athletes who cross the established points over the time limit will be considered out of the race.
4.6 Mechanical assistance
Is allowed in the two technical areas covered by the organisation, with implementation of the same by the Team. On the other hand, it is strictly forbidden, by private means (not managed by the Organising Committee) following the race or simply at the roadside.
4.7 Technical assistance
The repair and change of some parts of the bicycle can be carried out by the rider himself or with the help of a teammate, a mechanic of the team (in the scheduled areas managed by the teams). No kind of vehicle (scooters, motorcycles, cars) is allowed to follow the competitors. The penalty for this is the immediate exclusion from the participant of the event.
4.8 Collection of the Chest Tags and the Welcome kit
The chest tag and the “welcome kit” can be collected, only if in compliance with the registration fee, at the administration office of the event with the following schedule:
– Saturday 27 May 2017 from 2.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m.
– Sunday 28 May 2017 from 7.00 a.m. until 8.30 a.m.
The administration office is located in the Soave Memorial Park (VR)
Art. 5 RANKINGS AND AWARDS
All the participating athletes, competitors and amateurs, who complete the full route within the maximum times showing the race number legibly and installing the chip for timing correctly shall qualify.
5.2 Awards of the Race
The awards shall be given near the pasta party area, foreseen at approx. 2.30 p.m. As in the table shown below these are the prizes awarded:

For the non-competitive part there is no categorisation. There will be a prize draw between the hikers who regularly crossed the line.
The first 5 Teams with the largest number of registered athletes will also be given a prize.
Prizes will consist of typical local natural and technical products, both for the OPEN categories as well as for the amateur categories. OPEN categories will also be given a refund of expenses delivered at the end of the awards ceremony by a member of the administration of the race, collected only by the parties concerned, proxies are not accepted.
5.4 Collection of prizes
Prizes will be given after the official drafting of the rankings by the FCI Commissioners. Prizes will be handed exclusively to the present participants, no prizes will be given to third parties or delegates of the various companies.
Art. 6 SECURITY MEASURES
6.1 General rules
Slower competitors are obliged to facilitate overtaking for faster athletes. routes which are not clearly visible are to be covered with adequate speed. In downhill routes, the technical limit must never be surpassed. Any technical failure of the bicycle will be repaired outside the route of the race. Whoever does not respect these rules will be disqualified immediately.
The use and correct fastening of the helmet approved for cycling activities is mandatory.
6.3 Health assistance
This includes the use of ambulances with doctors and nurses on the route and at the start and finish points. The closest hospital to the route is located in San Bonifacio- Hospital G. Fracastoro via Circonvallazione telephone 0456138111.
6.4 Servizio scopa
Athletes who withdraw and cannot return to the starting point will be assisted on arrival and transported by means of service. Collection points will be at the refreshment points located along the route.
The event is insured as per FCI Regulations.
6.6 Signals along the route
The route shall be marked starting from 8 May 2017. Hazardous points as downhills requiring a special technique, curves, refreshments, etc. will be marked with appropriate signs which are clearly identifiable.

The competition will take place in part on public and private roads: it is therefore everyone’s duty to observe the road rules and respecting the FCI regulations on this matter.
6.8 Protecting the environment
It is strictly forbidden to throw litter along the way, this must be thrown in the passage in the refreshment area. Whoever is observed committing this act is punished by being disqualified.
Art. 7 OTHER PROVISIONS
The Organising Committee, declines any responsibility for himself and his co-workers, for accidents or damage to persons or property which may occur before, during and after the event or as a result thereof. Participation occurs at one’s own risk. By means of registration, the participant waives any legal claim, even against third parties, against the organising asd and all natural and legal persons involved in the organisation of the event.
As required by the F.C.I. Regulations, any complaints must be received within 30 minutes after the end of the race to the jury in full written form together with a security deposit of €20.00. In case of acceptance of the protest, the deposit will be returned.
Any modifications made to the regulation, route and elevation profile are reserved to the Organising Committee. The event will take place in all weather conditions and only the person in charge of the event has the power to cancel the competition. All information will be published on the Internet.
By signing the registration form, one declares to be in possession of a valid passport, to have read this Regulation and to give consent to the use of data, in accordance to the provisions of the Privacy Act No. 675 of 31/12/96. This applies for those making the individual registration via a physical form, online, by letter or fax.
7.5 Privacy Act 675/96
In full compliance with the provisions of the act 675/96 concerning the protection of personal data, the information required at registration will be used exclusively for normal activities of the administration office of the race indicated above, as well as for any eventual proposals and communications pertaining to the activities of the Organising Committee.
The updating or deletion of such information can be requested by writing an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the same way the intention will be declared not to communicate the information in question to other people.
7.6 Image rights
By signing the registration form the competitor expressly authorises the organisers to freely use the photos, fixed and/or moving, that are taken during his participation in the Gran Fondo Soave Bike. The organisers will be send the use of the image rights provided herein to their institutional and business partners. This authorisation for the use of his image shall be deemed to be given for an indefinite period, in accordance with laws, regulations and treaties in force and without territorial limits in the world; for use in various publications and films, including, by way of example and not limited to, promotional and/or advertising material carried out on all media.
7.7 Personal Information
Under Article 13 of the Leg. Decree of 30 June 2003, No. 196, it is provided: a) that the information contained in the registration form is required for registration, to prepare the list of participants, the ranking, and the historical records, to fulfill the services provided in the Regulation and to send information material from the Gran Fondo Kask Soave Bike or its partners. The consequences of failure to provide data or information referred to above shall result in non-admission to the event. The rights of the interested party regarding the processing of personal data are listed in Article 7 of the Legislative Decree No. 196/03 mentioned above″. At any time, the interested party can freely access, modify, delete his data by sending an email to email@example.com
7.8 Final instructions
The Soave Bike will take place in compliance with this Regulation, the official program of the event and of the decisions taken by the Race jury and the O/C. The Organising Committee reserves the right to modify these rules at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for better organisation of the race. What is not covered in this regulation, is regulated by the regulation and general rules supplemented by the Commissione Nazionale Settore Fuoristrada (FCI race). Any changes to services, venues and times will be communicated to registered athletes or will be posted on the website www.soavebike.it.
