KASK are excited to sponsor historic XCP event in an area awarded ‘Orange Flag tourism status’

The 17th edition of the Gran Fondo KASK Soave Bike will take place on Sunday 28th May starting in the historic centre of Soave, with two route options both finishing down the adrenaline filled descent of the stairs leading to the iconic castle. Both routes take in the slopes of the Lessini Mountains, passing picturesque castles and expansive vineyards of the Soave Classico where participants can enjoy riding through the stunning rural Italian landscape.

Gran Fondo KASK Soave Bike will consist of two cross country circuits with terrain including dirt, gravel and tarmac. The short route is a scenic 28km with an elevation of 800m and the more competitive classic route is 50km, with 1600m elevation taking riders higher into the hills, demanding top skills to combat a number of technical sections.

Riders of all abilities who want to experience a unique route can sign up here before they sell out.

Soave is also proud to be certified as an “Orange Flag” destination by the Italian Touring Club. The Orange Flag is a seal of excellence awarded to towns and villages with historical, cultural and environmental heritage, offering tourists a quality welcome. The Orange Flag is a major recognition of quality and is reflected in the organiser’s attention to detail, insisting on high standards required to give cyclists the best possible experience.

Friends and family can enjoy the atmosphere with a number of activities including a retail fair where KASK will showcase their helmet collection, focusing on the mountain bike helmet, Rex with its new colourways.

Guido Guariento, President of the Gran Fondo organising committee said: “We are really happy to see the event coming together so well. We look forward to welcoming all the riders, friends and families in May.”

Diego Zambon, General Manager at KASK, said: “We recognise that we have a wide range of customers all with different cycling skills and interests, we enjoy events like these as they give us a chance to speak to and see them in action.”

KASK and KOO are gold sponsors of the event with silver sponsors including fi’zi:k, crankbrothers, Continental and Giordana to name a few. A full list of all sponsors can be found here –
